When it was published in 2006, Henry Hoke's Guide to the Misguided revealed the astonishing history of Australia's greatest unrecognized inventor. Further research has brought to light more of Henry's amazing inventions, revealing the depth of his nautical background. The Institute of Backyard Studies and South Australian Maritime Museum present an exhibition of The Lost Tools of Henry Hoke. Exhibition is free with usual museum admission. Parking available on street. No bookings required for this event.

A great South Australian!

An amusing introduction into the life of this inventor and local character of Port Adelaide. Henry’s ingenious designs include a random excuse generator, leg pulls, and a learning curve (just to name a few). Be prepared to chuckle more than once in this exhibition!
