About Time: South Australia's History Festival will be held from 1 May 2011 to 31 May 2011.
How can my group register an event for About Time?
Is there a fee for registering an event for About Time?
Participating in About Time is free. Your group will need to meet any costs associated with presenting and promoting your event.
What does History SA do to help my group present an event?
History SA provides advice on running an event and provides promotional material to identify your event as part of the history festival. History SA is unable to provide financial support or organise venues for events.
Where can I get a copy of the printed program?
The printed program is distributed to libraries, local councils, visitor information centres, event organisers and local museums and historical societies across South Australia. You can also contact History SA to request a program.
How is About Time funded?
To mark the 175th anniversary of the foundation of the the Province of South Australia in 2011, History SA received a special grant of funds from the South Australian government to enable the growth of SA History Week into a month-long history festival. History SA is also grateful for the funds we receive from our partners and the in-kind support of our media partners.
Can businesses register in About Time?
The focus of the festival is firmly on South Australian history. Some businesses run events which highlight the history of a site, place or company, and these can be registered as About Time events. History SA reserves the right to decline registrations which might be interpreted as advertising.
