More than 125 years of medical history at the University of Adelaide went on display at the Barr Smith Library on Wednesday 26 May. About 70 people attended the official launch of an historical exhibition showcasing an impressive list of groundbreaking medical discoveries and achievements at the University since the formation of its medical programs in 1885.

A long time making history

It's worth finding this exhibition, on level 5 of the Barr Smith Library, if you are interested in medicine, the history of science or the impact of people from Adelaide on the world. You can see Howard Florey on the list of students, and learn a little about Laura Fowler, in 1891 the first woman graduate of the School of Medicine.
